We startled the lions with our laughter. The dust from our past glories swell in illusion at our jaded eyes. I'm not sure we deserve this and I'm not sure we'll appreciate it. Empty applause settles in tinnitus. Our glories yellow like newspaper hearts while my mistakes are amplified through my sun. Every path we choose guarantees skinned knees. You'll never forgive you.
